UCLAUCLA Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) The University of California Los Angeles ( UCLA ) is located in the Westwood area of Los Angeles bound to the north by Sunset Boulevard and to the east and west by Hilgard and Veteran Avenues. UCLA PhD programs rank in the top 20 for academic quality. It is one of the most selective schools in the nation with only a 25% acceptance rate. UCLA sport teams are the Bruins who participate in NCAA Division I-A as part of the Pacific Ten Conference.. Athletic facilities include Jackie Robinson Stadium, Pauley Pavilion, Rose Bowl, Los Angeles Tennis Center, Bel-Air Country Club, Drake Stadium, John Wooden Center, and the Men's Gym Pool. Located on the south end of campus is the UCLA Medical Center. ULCA is home to the UCLA Fowler Museum of Cultural History and the Hammer Museum. Also on campus are the Geffen Playhouse, Schoenberg Hall, Royce Hall ,and the Hannah Carter Japanese and the Franklin Murphy Sculpture Gardens.
