The Southwest Museum of the American Indian has the distinct honor of being the oldest museum in the city of Los Angeles. The collection of the Southwest Museum encompasses a span of more than 2,000 years and represents Native American cultures from Alaska to South America.

Hours: Due to reconstruction the Southwest Museum may be on "Limited Access" and will only be open on Friday and Saturday from 12:00–5:00 pm. Admission is free to all visitors during reconstruction, renovation and conservation of the collection.  Check the website for updates.

Closed: Monday, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
All holidays are subject to change without notice.

Metro: MTA Gold Line from Union Station to Pasadena. Get off at Southwest Museum stop.

By car: North on the 110 Freeway and get off Avenue 43 and follow signs.
