Cabrillo Marine AquariumCabrillo Marine Aquarium Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is located on the shore at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro between Point Fermin and the Port of Los Angeles. The Aquarium is a museum/aquarium devoted to promoting awareness and knowledge of the rich marine life of southern California through exhibits, programs and research. Designed by noted architect Frank Gehry, the aquarium has the largest collection of southern California marine life on exhibit in the world. The tidepools of the Point Fermin Marine Life Refuge, a salt marsh, fishing pier, sandy beaches and fossil rich cliffs are all within accessible walking distance from the Aquarium. Closed: Mondays, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Metro: MTA bus 446 and MAX bus 3 stops nearby at 36th Street and Pacific Avenue. By car: Take the 110 South, and exit at Harbor Boulevard in San Pedro. Take a Right on Harbor Boulevard. Take a Right on 22nd Street. Take a left on Pacific Avenue to 36th Street/Stephen M.
