After extensive renovations and upgrades, the legendary Theatre officially reopened on November 9, 2001 with a $7 million facelift restoring it to its traditional Hollywood grandeur of 1927and the addition of the brand new Mann Chinese 6 theatre complex. Over the years, the Chinese is where Hollywood holds its most prestigious movie premieres, a tradition which continues today. Elegant and sophisticated, the theatre is a grand palace, known for its large screen and state-of-the-art sound system.
