The Huntington is a world-renowned center of art and culture set amidst 120 acres of sweeping lawns and vistas interspersed with statuary, tempiettos, and benches. Four art galleries and a library showcase magnificent collections of rare books and historic manuscripts such as the Gutenberg Bible and Chaucer’s “The Canterbury Tales,” and priceless works of art, including Gainsborough’s “The Blue Boy” and works by Reynolds, Sargent, Cassatt and Hopper. Botanical rarities flourish in the 12-acre Desert Garden, 14-acre Japanese Garden and gardens devoted to roses, camellias, tropicals and more. A brand new glass and steel tropical conservatory, equipped with state-of-the-art science stations, leads you into the Bing Children’s Garden.
