More than 1,200 animals from around the world make their home at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens. View marine mammals under water in the new Sea Lion Cliffs exhibit.  Make contact with barn yard animals at the Winnick Family Children’s Zoo.  Swing into Red Ape Rain Forest, a tropical habitat for orangutans. For primate fun, visit one of the largest troops of chimpanzees in the United States at Chimpanzees of Mahale Mountains.  The largest lizard in the world, the Komodo dragon, is featured at Dragons of Komodo.  Other highlights include koala, okapi, tiger, giraffe, lion, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, bird show, the Papiano Play Park and much more.

Closed: Christmas Day.
