The Santa Monica Pier Aquarium is home to some 100 species of organisms, including moray eels, octopus, sharks, rays and a variety of fish and invertebrates–all examples of the animals found just a short stroll away in the Santa Monica Bay.  The popular shark-themed Sundays include shark related arts and crafts, story time, films and a presentation and feeding at the shark tank.

Hours: Tuesday–Friday, 2 p.m.–6 p.m.
Saturday–Sunday, 12:30 p.m.–6 p.m.

Closed: Mondays, Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. All holidays are subject to change without notice.

By car: From the 405 Freeway: Exit on to the 10 Freeway west into Santa Monica. Exit Fourth/Fifth Street staying in the left lane of the exit ramp. Turn left (south) at the end of the exit ramp onto fourth Street. Proceed south on fourth Street to Pico Boulevard and turn right (west). Go west on Pico Boulevard to Appian Way (crossing Ocean Avenue on the way). Turn right (north) onto Appian Way at the bottom of the hill. Proceed north on Appian Way towards the Santa Monica Pier. Turn left at stop sign under the pier ramp into the 1550 Lot.
